Look beyond the premium
A lower monthly premium does not automatically mean lower total cost. Add deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and drug costs. On a Medicare Advantage plan, the in-network maximum is for covered Part A and Part B services. Drug costs are not part of that maximum.

Income can matter
Higher-income beneficiaries may pay An extra amount some people with higher incomes pay on top of the Part B and Part D premiums. Social Security decides it. It is not a plan fee. for Part B and Part D. Thresholds are based on tax returns from two years prior and can change.
