What does Medicare Part B cost in 2027?

CMS has not published an official 2027 Part B premium as of this writing. The figure you can act on today is the 2026 standard premium. Any 2027 number you see before the fall CMS announcement is an estimate.

What is official today (2026)

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services set the 2026 standard Part B premium at $202.90 per month and the Part B deductible at $283. Part B coinsurance remains 20% for many services. Confirm on Medicare.gov before you budget.

2027 is not official yet

CMS typically announces the next year’s Part A and Part B premiums, deductibles, and IRMAA amounts in the fall (often November). Until that fact sheet is out, treat any 2027 premium as a projection. The 2026 Medicare Trustees Report estimated a standard Part B premium near $209.50 per month for 2027. That is not a CMS premium. Last year’s trustee estimates have missed the final number.

IRMAA can change what you pay

Higher-income beneficiaries may pay an Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount on top of the standard Part B premium (and a separate Part D IRMAA). 2026 IRMAA uses 2024 MAGI. 2027 IRMAA brackets will be in the same fall CMS announcement. Use the IRMAA calculator only for 2026 figures.

Where to confirm

Medicare.gov and the CMS newsroom are the official sources. Social Security deducts Part B from many Social Security checks. This website cannot set your premium.
