Medicare Part C, also known as Medicare Advantage, is an alternative way for beneficiaries to receive their Medicare benefits. Unlike Original Medicare (Part A and Part B), which is provided by the government, Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. Part C plans combine coverage for hospital services (Part A) and medical services (Part B) into a single plan, often with additional benefits.
