Extra help with Original Medicare
Some people with Original Medicare can get extra help lining up their care. This is not a Medicare Advantage network. A pin does not mean your doctor is in it.
Medicare ACCESS
ACCESS started July 5, 2026. Approved groups can help with some long-term health problems, often from home. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, you cannot use ACCESS. Medicare named these California groups and did not give a street address:
- Aledade Care Solutions of California P.C.
- Cadence Health CA P.C.
- Headspace Medical Group CA P.A.
- Pair Team Medical Group of CA P.C.

LEAD
LEAD is a newer program for groups of doctors who coordinate care for people with Original Medicare. A practice period runs from September 15 through December 31, 2026. The program starts January 1, 2027. On September 21, 2026, Medicare listed 79 groups getting ready. That is not the full 2027 list, and it does not give Los Angeles street addresses.
- CHS LEAD ACO CA, LLCMedicare named this group on September 21, 2026. It did not publish a Los Angeles office.
- United Physicians Association, Inc.Medicare named this group on that list. Its office is in Garden Grove, which is not in Los Angeles County.

These offices explain Medicare. They do not enroll you in a plan.
Four-part verification
Check these four before you compare extra benefits. Ask the office, then confirm the same names on Medicare. gov and with the plan.
- The individual physician, not only the practice name.
- The medical group or IPA that doctor uses for that plan. An IPA is a physician organization that, on many HMO plans, lines up doctors and handles referrals.
- The hospital you want, and whether a referral is required to use it.
- The plan’s contract number, not only the insurance company name. A network is the list of doctors and hospitals that plan pays.
A Los Angeles Medicare example
Suppose Maria lives in Northeast Los Angeles. She likes her local primary-care doctor, sees a specialist at UCLA, and would prefer Cedars-Sinai if she ever needed certain types of specialized care.
Searching for a Medicare plan that simply “has UCLA and Cedars” doesn't fully answer her question. She needs to check whether she can keep her primary-care doctor, continue seeing her UCLA specialist, and how she would reach Cedars-Sinai if she needed it. She also needs to know whether referrals are required, what she would pay, and whether her prescriptions are covered.
Those questions are a better starting point than premiums or extra benefits alone. Talk with Alan if you want to line up the same facts for your own doctors.

What the 2026 Los Angeles plan list looks like
In 2027, CMS lists 124 Medicare Advantage plans in Los Angeles County. Most are HMOs. Only 6 are PPOs. The premium is often $0. Five of those plans do not include drug coverage.
The 2027 plan list shows every Medicare Advantage plan filed with CMS for the county. It does not rank them. Stand-alone Part D is a separate list. The 2027 drug The drug lists a plan uses. Each list says which prescriptions are covered and which cost tier they are on. are not in this tool yet. CMS publishes those files beginning October 15, 2026.

How do I find a Medicare agent in Los Angeles?

Does Cedars-Sinai accept Medicare?
Many Cedars-Sinai doctors and the hospital work with Original Medicare. Medicare Advantage coverage depends on the exact plan. Ask the office for the exact plan name and location.
Can I use Keck Medicine of USC with Medicare?
Often yes under Original Medicare if the physician accepts Medicare. Medicare Advantage depends on the plan, the physician, and the location. Confirm both the doctor and the facility.
What's the difference between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage for Los Angeles doctors?
Original Medicare generally follows doctors who accept Medicare, anywhere in the U. S. Medicare Advantage uses the plan’s network, and in Los Angeles that can change by physician, medical group, hospital, and ZIP. Neither is automatically better. Can a Medicare PPO let me see any doctor in Los Angeles?

Do Medicare Advantage networks vary by ZIP code in Los Angeles?
