Los Angeles County is large. Two households a few miles apart can have different Medicare Advantage networks, extra benefits, and Part D lists. Hospitals and specialists you already use may be in-network on one product and not on another. We do not name or rank plans here.
What Advantage typically is
A Medicare Advantage plan is a private plan approved to deliver Medicare benefits, often with a network (HMO or PPO), copays, prior authorization, and a yearly in-network maximum out-of-pocket. Many include Part D. Extra benefits such as dental, vision, or hearing vary by plan and can change each year. Read this year’s Annual Notice of Change if you already have a plan.
