What Plan N is designed to do
Plan N covers many of the same Medigap categories as Plan G, with important differences: copays may apply to some office visits and ER visits, and Part B excess charges are not covered.
Who often looks at Plan N
People who see doctors who accept Medicare assignment and want a lower premium in exchange for occasional copays often compare Plan N. It is not automatically “cheaper overall.”

Standardized benefits can still have details worth reading. Ask for the outline of coverage and current premium for your ZIP code.
