Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)

AEP is your once-a-year window to review Medicare Advantage and Part D coverage for the coming year.

AEP dates

The Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 – December 7 each year. Changes generally take effect January 1.

What to review

Plans can change premiums, networks, formularies, cost sharing, and extra benefits. Read the Annual Notice of Change and compare it with the doctors, drugs, and budget you actually have.

You do not have to switch

AEP creates an opportunity to review coverage, not an obligation to change. A careful review can also confirm that staying put makes sense.
